OUGD503: Responsive Design Process 2 - Competition Brief 2: Body Shop, Evaluation

Evaluation

In order to meet the criteria of the responsive module, we are required to complete at least one substantial brief, I chose to complete The Body Shop brief as I saw the brief as a challenge to create something which could be dynamic whilst in-keeping with the strong ethos of the brand.

The original brief I was given by The Body Shop had a range of mandatory requirements from product posters, a new social campaign idea to a new communication channel I therefore used the brief as a opportunity to create one over-laying theme which would connect each of these mandatory requirements together which I believe was successful in terms of creating a continuity throughout the brand.

If I was to do the brief again I would give more attention to the mock-ups which evidenced how my designs and concepts would be distributed to the public in order to have a more professional feel to them.

Overall, I am pleased with the final outcomes I have produced which I believe effectively answer the brief. Although body shop has a strong aesthetic in terms of their posters in which they commonly use photographic imagery I have deliberately stayed away from this to create a new aesthetic, which still conveys The Body Shop brand.
